I have received a request by some of our gay readers that we should add more reviews of gay businesses in Phuket which is why I am happy to be able to add this review of the Time Bar Patong Beach which is one of the most popular gay bars in Patong beach. I would like to point out that the Time Bar Phuket is actually more than only a gay bar as the two charming owners have recently converted rooms upstairs into somewhat basic yet comfortable guest rooms so the Time Bar Patong Beach is now also a guesthouse. The Thai owners, Dan and Jessica, have therefore rebranded their establishment from Time Bar Patong Beach to Time B and B (Bed and Breakfast) however most locals as well as travelers and tourists still refer to this Patong gay bar and guesthouse as the Time Bar Patong Beach.

I am not that well acquainted with all the bay bars in Patong beach but one of my gay friends in Phuket recently took me on a tour along various Patong gay bars and other gay businesses which is how I ended up at the Time Bar Patong Beach. One of the things which surprised me most that I even met some straight couples who were enjoying a few drinks at this wonderful Patong gay bar. Most of the clients there were however gay European and Australian customers and overall there was a very friendly atmosphere at the Time B and B Patong Beach. I did notice that there were some Patong gay boys who tried to entertain any customer who was interested in such fun.

The Time Bar Patong Beach is located in the Patong Paradise Complex which is basically the complex which is located directly in front of the Royal Paradise hotel. This part of Patong is welcome to most of the island’s gay bars, gay guesthouses and Patong gay massage parlors. You might expect it to be slightly seedy but it really is not. Many of the gay bars in Patong such as the Time Bar Patong Beach are very similar to a regular Patong bar with the only exception that most of the customers are gay and not straight. You won’t see any naked boys dancing around. The Time Bar Patong Beach is located only meters away from the famous Patong Boat Bar which is probably the best gay club in Patong beach. Just down the road you will see the Patong Connect Guest House which is also a very well known and popular Patong gay venue.

Time B and B Guesthouse Room

The Time B and B Guesthouse, also known as the Time Bar Patong Beach, is located in a relatively small shop house so there are only 3 guest rooms in this Patong gay hotel. Fortunately for us, during my recent visit of this gay establishment in Patong beach all the rooms were vacant and one of the owners was more than happy so show me all 3 of the guest rooms. The rooms look rather modern and offer a nice design but they are not as nice as some of the boutique style guesthouses which I have seen elsewhere in Patong beach. However for the Patong Paradise complex the standard of the rooms was more than acceptable. The room types available at the Patong Time Bar are the Junior Suite, The Deluxe Front Room and the Deluxe Back Room. Room rates start at only 900 Thai Baht per room per night during the Patong tourist low season.
