The Club Phuket in Kamala Beach is our latest hotel in Kalama which we have reviewed for you in our handy online Phuket travel guide. To be very frank, I had never been to the Club Phuket before nor did I read many reports about the Club Phuket in the past so I was a bit surprised to hear about the existence of this hotel in Kamala beach. But better late than never so I visited the Club in Kamala Beach last week and we are happy that we can offer yet another Kamala hotel review to our Phuket guide.

The exterior of the Club Phuket is rather stunning and your expectations of this hotel in Kamala beach increase by the wonderful way in which the Club in Kamala Beach looks from the outside. However I must admit that the rest of this hotel in Kamala Beach does not look as nice and this especially applies to the rooms which I will explain later on in this review about the Club Phuket in Kamala Beach.

The Club in Kamala Beach is actually located near the beginning of Kamala when you cross the hill coming from Patong Beach. This is a very lively area of Kamala filled with many bars, shops and restaurants so it definitely is a great area of Kamala to stay in and especially for those of you who are on a tight budget. Many of the nearby restaurants and bars cater to local expats and local Kamala residents which basically mean that prices are still affordable. The restaurants and bars located near to the beach of Kamala are generally considerably more expensive.

The Club Phuket in Kalama Beach is located in a trendy style 2 story building which houses 50 rooms and suites. The management of the Club Phuket also manages several luxury villas nearby where tourists and travelers can also stay during their holiday in Phuket but obviously at a higher cost. The Club Phuket does have some nice facilities including a wonderful outdoor swimming pool, a landscaped tropical garden, jeep and scooter rental, high speed internet access, a nice bar and an outstanding restaurant. I must admit that I was most admit that I was very much impressed by the restaurant as it serves excellent food at affordable prices and is also very nicely designed and styled.

There are 3 different room types from which you can choose at the Club Phuket in Kamala Beach and that are deluxe rooms, suites and 2 bedroom suites. They also have pool villas for rent. I did view all the different room types and I was a bit disappointed in how the rooms and suites looked like. There were not nicely designed and furnished and looked a bit plain. Although the units had plenty of modern facilities and amenities such as air-conditioning, private bathroom, internet access, international direct dial telephone and international television programming, I would not really recommend this hotel in Kamala beach as I don’t like the way the rooms looked like.
