Whenever a first time visitor to Patong books a hotel, resort or guesthouse in this popular Phuket resort town then they should definitely consider the preferred location of their Patong lodging establishment. If you want to be very near to many Phuket nightlife venues then a hotel or guesthouse near to Bangla road would be most suitable. If you want to be close to many Patong gay bars and other gay businesses then you should book a Patong guesthouse or hotel which is located in the Paradise complex.
if you want to have a relaxing and quiet holiday then you should stay away from the beach road and the center of Patong and either choose a guesthouse or hotel which is located in the Nanai road area of Patong or choose a hotel or guesthouse which is located in the Northern section of Patong and this is where Thanthip Villa Phuket is located. Patong beach is not a very big town so you can pretty much reach anywhere in Patong on foot as is the case with the Thanthip Villa in Patong beach. The white sandy beach of Patong is located only a 2 or 3 minute walk from this budget Patong hotel and Bangla road, the nightlife epicenter of Patong beach, is located perhaps a 10 minute walk away.
However if you are traveling to Patong with your kids then perhaps you are better of making a reservation at a hotel such as the Thanthip Villa Patong which is located away from all the noisy and raunchy Patong nightlife venues as perhaps you don’t really want to introduce your kids to this aspect of Patong.
It is actually rather easy to find the Thanthip Villa Phuket as it is located in a large pink colored 4 story building. Personally I think that this Patong hotel has a more Mediterranean feel to it as opposed to one of a typical Thai hotel or resort. When I visited the Thanthip Villa in Patong beach I did notice that most of the guests were either couples or parents with kids so if you are looking for a family friendly hotel or resort in Patong beach then I would definitely suggest for you to strongly consider making a reservation at the Phuket Thanthip Villa in Patong beach.
When I entered the lobby area of this lovely Patong beach hotel I right away felt the warm and cozy atmosphere which the Thanthip Phuket Villa offers its guests. Wherever I looked I saw happy faces and that includes the faces of both the guests and all of the Thai staff who are employed at this affordable 3 star hotel in Patong beach. I was greeted by one of the Thai managers who took me on my site inspection of the property and I was very much impressed by him as well. He greeted many of the guests by name which is rather unusual at a hotel this size. Although the public areas offer a very warm and cozy atmosphere, they are designed and decorated in a modern and trendy style.
I would like to quickly point out that the Thanthip Villa Phuket is a relatively new hotel which only opened its doors to travelers and tourists a short while back. This is clearly visible as the building and all of the facilities are in tip top shape. The same applies to all of the guest rooms at the Thanthip Villa Phuket but I will go into more detail about the accommodation later on.
There are not a great number of facilities at the Thanthip Villa Phuket as it is only a relatively small medium sized hotel. If you are looking for a hotel which offers many facilities and services such as a spa, tennis courts and a kids club then I suggest for you to look into making a reservation at one of the larger hotels such as the Novotel or Club Med for example. There is however a very nice outdoor swimming pool and even a nice kids outdoor pool. Some of the other facilities and services offered at this charming Patong hotel include for example lifts, Thai massage services and a pool bar.
As I mentioned earlier on in this Thanthip Villa review, this Patong hotel offers 77 guest rooms to travelers and tourists. However please note that not all the rooms are the same as there are different room categories available at the Phuket Thanthip Villa in Patong beach. Travelers and tourists will be able to choose from the following room categories at this Patong beach hotel: standard rooms, superior rooms, deluxe rooms and pool access rooms. My preference is for the pool access rooms as you can enter the swimming pool directly from the terrace of your room which is especially great if you have kids so that you can keep a close eye out on them. Each of the rooms at the Thanthip Villa Phuket in Patong beach include plenty of amenities and facilities and these include for example tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning, international television programming, private terrace or balcony, hair dryer, smoke detectors, high speed internet access, international direct dial telephone and an in room electronic safe.
All of the rooms are very nicely designed and decorated and I loved the charming paintings which hang on the walls of all of the guest rooms at the Thanthip Patong Villa. The rooms definitely have a trendy look yet once again offer a very warm and holiday like ambience.
Prices are in my opinion very affordable at this Patong beach hotel if you keep into consideration that this hotel is located close to the beach and offers superb accommodation and some really nice facilities. The official hotel prices start at 1400 Thai Baht per room per night during the Phuket tourist low season and roughly double during the Phuket tourist high season.
