The Thai Elephant Guesthouse is located along Patak Road is the second road of Karon Beach after the beach road. The stretch of Patak Road along which this Karon beach guesthouse is located is the part along the hill which leads from Karon Beach to Kata Beach. This does mean that the Thai Elephant Guesthouse is not located very close to the white sandy beach of Karon as it will probably be at least a 7 minute walk or so. However the area in which the Karon Beach Thai Elephant Guesthouse is located is a very lively part of Karon Beach filled with many small shops, restaurants and bars so it definitely is a great place to stay during your holiday in Phuket.
This Karon Beach guesthouse also has a very nice restaurant and bar which is called the Thai Elephant restaurant. I had the pleasure to dine out this lovely restaurant after my site inspection of the guesthouse and I was very much impressed by the wonderfully designed interior of the restaurant and the food was also rather impressive. Not only are some really remarkable Thai dishes served at this Kata beach restaurant but also some very nice fusion and western style dishes. Even if you are not staying at the Thai Elephant Guesthouse in Karon beach then I do still recommend for you to try out their excellent restaurant. It seems that the owners and managers of this guesthouse in Karon Beach also operate another restaurant and bar nearby and that one is called the Inter Sport 77 Restaurant & Bar. It’s a great sports bar where you can watch English premier league games live and enjoy a game of pool. This is definitely one of the best Karon Beach sports bars and its filled daily with both tourists as well as local Phuket expats who live in the area.
The rooms at the Thai Elephant Guesthouse are beautifully designed and nicely furnished as is to be expected in a boutique guesthouse. The rooms are certainly as nice as what one would find at a 3 or 4 star hotel or resort in Karon beach. The guest rooms of this Karon beach guesthouse come with a wide range of modern facilities and amenities and you will feel right at home at the Thai Elephant in Karon Beach. Room rates are very reasonable with rates starting at as low as 700 Thai Baht during the tourist low season which is from the end of April until the end of October. They also offer special monthly rates for those of you who are planning to spend longer than a month at this Phuket guesthouse.
