Talang Guesthouse Phuket
I would like to mention that the Talang Guesthouse in Phuket City is not the type of Phuket guesthouse which I would recommend to those travelers who are looking for a high end guesthouse in Phuket Town. The Talang Guesthouse Phuket is more suitable for backpackers and real budget travelers and tourists as most of the rooms at this Phuket City guesthouse do not have air-conditioning but this also means that room rates are really low and basically affordable for everyone. Room rates start at 300 Thai Baht for a room with fan only and a room with air conditioning starts at 450 Thai Baht per room per night. These cheap prices even include a small continental breakfast in the morning!
There are 12 rooms at the Talang Guesthouse in Phuket Town and all of the rooms have a private bathroom. Please note however that out of 12 rooms only 2 rooms have air-conditioning so if an A/C is important to you then please be sure to book your air-conditioned room at the Phuket Talang Guesthouse well in advance. One of the things which I really like about the guest rooms at this Phuket City guesthouse is that they are all painted in bright and charming colors. However don’t expect much else in terms of services and room amenities as you will only get the basics. There is for example no television in each of the rooms but there is a communal television lounge area where you can watch sports for example. There are single rooms, twin rooms, double rooms and triple rooms available at the Talang Guesthouse in Phuket City.
There is a restaurant / coffee shop on the ground floor of the Phuket Talang guesthouse where folks can enjoy an affordable bite to eat and I was positively surprised by the quality of the food which is served in the Talang restaurant. There is also a small library at the Phuket City guesthouse where you can borrow books or exchange books.
The Talang Guesthouse is located in the historic center of Phuket Town which is basically where you would want to stay if you are going to be staying in Phuket Town. Various markets and large shopping venues are located within easy walking distance of this Phuket City guesthouse and there are also plenty of Thai and Western restaurants located in this part of Phuket City. Budget travelers should also be pleased to know that the central Phuket bus station is located very close to the Talang Guesthouse in Phuket City.
