The Sweet Dreams Patong guesthouse is a boutique guesthouse which opened last year along the road which leads from Patong beach to Karon beach. I am a big fan of boutique guesthouses and I was very pleased to hear that yet another one had opened its doors in Patong to travelers and tourists. As we all know guesthouses are an inexpensive alternative to regular Phuket hotels or resorts and Phuket guesthouses such as the Sweet Dreams Patong attract a wide variety of travelers and tourists. The Phuket guesthouse industry has undergone a lot of positive changes during the last decade. In the past most guesthouses on the island of Phuket offered only the bare minimum in terms of service and accommodation however this has certainly changed as can be seen in Phuket boutique guesthouses such as the Sweet Dreams Guesthouse in Patong beach which have been built during the last few years.

The Sweet Dreams Patong Boutique Guesthouse is located in a modern looking 4 story building which seems actually consists of 2 connecting shop houses. I am also rather pleased that many of the new shop houses which are being constructed on Phuket are designed in a modern style as many of the older guesthouses on Phuket were rather dull and plain looking. These new and modern looking shop houses are ideal for Phuket boutique guesthouses such as the Sweet Dreams Patong guesthouse as they offer a great first impression to potential travelers and tourists. If you do end up booking a room at the Sweet Dreams Patong guesthouse then you can rest assured that the facilities and accommodation is in excellent condition due to the fact that this boutique guesthouse in Patong beach is relatively new and is located in a new and modern building. Many of the older buildings in Patong which house guesthouses often have serious problems with items such as piping and even electricity.

The Sweet Dreams guesthouse is located on the outskirts of Patong beach along the road which people use to get from Patong beach to the Kata / Karon area of Phuket. For those of you who know this road, the Sweet Dreams Patong boutique guesthouse is located between the Phuket Palace Hotel and Simon Cabaret. This is the latest area of Patong which is seeing a lot of development lately. Only a few years ago you would find only a handful of business along this road such as the Simon Cabaret and the Patong Safari Club however this has certainly changed and now there are dozens of hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, bars and other businesses which line the road which leads from Patong beach to Karon beach. You could walk down to the center of Patong as well as to the beach but it would be an easy 15 – 20 minute walk so I would advise anyone staying at the Sweet Dreams Patong guesthouse to hire either a car or scooter during their holiday in Patong.

Please note that the Sweet Dreams Patong boutique guesthouse is a relatively small boutique style guesthouse which offers 13 well appointed deluxe rooms as well as a double size suite room to travelers and tourists. When I visited the Sweet Dreams Patong boutique guesthouse for the very first time a few weeks ago I was very much impressed when I entered the lobby area of this guesthouse in Patong beach. The décor and ambience is simply stunning and suburb. When you stand in the lobby of the Sweet Dreams boutique guesthouse in Patong then you would never thing that you were in a guesthouse as it looks more like the lobby area of a fancy 4 or 5 stars hotel. The Sweet Dreams Patong boutique guesthouse is owned by a US / Thai family and they have a strong love for South East Asian artwork which can be seen throughout their guesthouse. The Sweet Dreams Patong boutique guesthouse is easily one of the nicest and most beautifully decorated guesthouses which I have been to throughout my years in Thailand.

My only wish would have been that the rooms would have been styled and decorated in a similar fashion to the lobby area of the Sweet Dreams Patong guesthouse. Please don’t get me wrong as the rooms are very nice but are designed more in a minimalistic modern style rather than the warm and hip style in which the reception area has been styled. The rooms are however very spacious and airy and most of the guest rooms at the Sweet Dreams Patong guesthouse do have a private balcony so please be sure to request a room with balcony when making your holiday reservations.

There are a wide range of modern and luxurious room amenities and facilities which tourists and travelers can enjoy in their guest rooms and these include for example complimentary high speed wireless internet access, direct dial telephone, international television programming and a fridge.

As with most guesthouses on Phuket, the Sweet Dreams Patong boutique guesthouse does not have a swimming pool or very many facilities however there is a large hotel which is located right next to the guesthouse and guests of the Sweet Dreams Patong guesthouse are able to use the swimming pool and other facilities for a small additional fee. Please note that there is a large internet café available at this boutique guesthouse in Patong beach.
