Ska Bar Phuket

Ska Bar Phuket is one of my favorite Kata beach bars. The Ska bar is not a regular Phuket beer bar as it is more of a Phuket reggae bar. You might be surprised to hear this but there are actually a lot of Thai reggae fans and the guys who work at the Ska Bar Phuket even have Jamaican style dreadlocks. The owner of this popular Phuket beach bar is Khun Ring and she certainly knows how to create a unique and really laid back atmosphere for her clients. The Ska Bar Phuket is also one of the most popular bars on Phuket among local Phuket expats which clearly suggests that this Kata Noi bar is the place to hang out at. You would expect that a holiday island such as Phuket would have a lot of bars which are located directly on a beach but this is surprisingly not the case on Phuket. Many travelers and tourists would however like to visit a Phuket beach bar and the Phuket Ska Bar is one of the only real beach bars on the island.

What I really like about this beach bar on Kata Noi beach is that they offer various forms of live entertainment to their guests. The Ska Bar Phuket is one of the only venues on Phuket which offers spectacular fire shows. If you have never seen on before then you definitely should visit the bar in the evening time as the show is well worth seeing. The Ska Bar Kata Noi also often organizes live concerts with local Thai musicians and especially reggae musicians. What better place to listen to some live music whilst enjoying a cold Singha beer or a exotic cocktail then right on the beach of Kata Noi. Prices are more than reasonable at the Bar Ska with prices for a beer averaging around eighty Thai Baht and cocktail prices starting at around a hundred Thai Baht.

If you are staying at a hotel in Patong or elsewhere on the island of Phuket then I do definitely recommend for you to make the trip down to Kata Noi beach one evening so that you can visit the outstanding Ska Bar Phuket. This Phuket bar is not the type of venue where single guys pick up Thai bar girls and it is the ideal place for couples to enjoy the nightlife of Phuket.
