I would not really recommend the Rico’s hotel in Patong to families with young children as this budget Patong hotel is located right in the center of Patong near to various clubs and many beer bars. I would personally not want my kids to be in the middle of all of that. I would however recommend the Rico’s hotel to any traveler who is traveling on a tight budget but still wants a hotel in the center of Patong which offers a nice atmosphere and clean as well as trendy guest rooms. One of the great benefits of staying at this hotel is that you can easily reach all the main areas and attractions of Patong beach on foot and you do not really require any form of transportation.

Rico’s Hotel Phuket is located right in the heart of Patong. This affordable Patong hotel is situated in the Soi Bangla Square which is located just off Bangla Road. Guests can just walk down Bangla road and this will lead them to the wonderful beach of Patong. If you love going shopping then the Rico’s hotel is also located perfectly as the Patong Ocean Mall and the Patong Jungceylon shopping mall are both located less than 100 meters away. There are also many smaller shops, markets and tailors in the direct vicinity of the Patong Rico’s hotel.
If you love going to the bars at night or perhaps dance until the early hours of the morning at of the discos in Patong than the Ricos Patong hotel would be a great choice for accommodation for you. There are literally 100’s of Patong beer bars located within half a kilometer radius as well as several large clubs and several Phuket Go Go bars.

Many guests that book a room at the Rico’s Patong hotel do so because of the cheap room rates which are offered but they are often positively surprised once they see their guest room. All of the Rico’s hotel rooms are rather spacious and are beautifully designed and have a very bright and airy feel to them. The owners of this hotel in Patong have paid a lot of attention to the local art work which can be seen in the reception area of the Ricos hotel as well in all the guest rooms. The Rico’s hotel rooms do also include a wide range of modern amenities and facilities so I am certain that any traveler staying at this Phuket hotel will have an enjoyable and pleasant stay.
There are two different types of rooms which tourists and travelers can book at the Ricos hotel. There are 21 standard guest rooms at the Rico’s hotel as well as 6 deluxe rooms. I would personally book the deluxe room at this Patong budget hotel as they are considerably larger in size and offer a more comfortable environment for a successful stay.
Phuket Ricos Hotel Facilities
The Phuket Ricos hotel is more like a guesthouse as there are no real facilities offered at this hotel in Patong. There is for example no swimming pool or fitness area and unfortunately many tourists do require these types of facilities from their hotel on Phuket. Please keep in mind however that the beach of Patong is located only moments away and the Rico’s hotel do offer beach chairs there for its guests. So if you don’t really need a swimming pool or spa then why not stay at the outstanding Patong Rico’s hotel?
I would also like to point out that there is so much to do in Patong as well as on the beach. I am fairly certain that most travelers won’t find the time to hang out at their resort or hotel. And there are of course many different beach areas of Phuket which tourists can explore during their vacation. This is why I often urge people to question if they really need facilities such as swimming pools, business centers and spas at their hotel as they will generally lead to a more expensive Phuket hotel.
Rico’s Hotel Patong Beach Food and Beverage
Rico’s is actually a rather famous name on Phuket and this is not necessarily because of the Rico’s hotel. Rico’s actually has two very well known and popular food and beverage venues which are extremely popular with both local expat residents as well as with mainly Scandinavian tourists. So even if you are not a guest of the Ricos hotel Patong then I urge you to try out of the Rico’s food and beverage venues.
