A guesthouse which I discovered recently in Kata beach is the Pit Stop Guesthouse Phuket. One of the things which I immediately liked about the Pit Stop Guesthouse Phuket was that its located in a somewhat modern and well maintained shop house type building. This lovely guesthouse in Kata beach is actually owned and managed by a wonderful Thai - European couple. When I first met Chris and Wasana I immediately noticed that they were doing their upmost best to keep their clients happy and as I have often said, it is so important for a smallish guesthouse such as the Pit Stop Guesthouse Phuket to have hands on owners who go out of their way to please their clients.

Chris offered to take me on a tour of his wonderful Kata guesthouse and which I off course gladly accepted. On the ground level of the Pit Stop Guesthouse in Kata beach there is basically a bar / coffee shop with a terrace and this also acts as the reception for the guesthouse. It’s not hard to guess the nationality of Chris as there is a big Danish flag hanging outside on the exterior of this Kata beach guesthouse. You will also find a large pool table in the bar area of the Kata Pit Stop Bar and Guesthouse.

I should mention at this time that the Pit Stop Bar does employ some pretty sexy bar girls so if you are traveling by yourself and are planning to stay at the Phuket Pit Stop Guesthouse then it is very easy to meet some nice Thai lady right downstairs in the bar of this modern Kata guesthouse.

There are only 8 guest rooms or so at the Pit Stop Guesthouse Phuket but they are all very clean, bright, and spacious and equipped with all the types of amenities which you would need to have a comfortable stay during your holiday in Kata beach. There is a good bed inside, large cupboard, fridge, international television programming, internet and of course air-conditioning and a private bathroom.

Low season rates at the Pit Stop Guesthouse in Kata beach are pretty cheap with prices starting at only 600 Thai Baht per room per night and the prices double during the Phuket tourist high season which is from one November until 1 April. The owners of the Pit Stop Bar and Guesthouse in Kata beach also operate a bike rental business and they rent out Honda Click scooters and also a Honda CBR 400 RR.
