One of the most popular Phuket attractions is the Phuket Zoo. If you are on vacation with your children then a visit to Phuket is definitely a great way to spend a part of the day. The opening hours of the Phuket Zoo are daily from 08:30 until 18:00. The entrance fee for adults is four hundred Thai Baht. The Phuket Zoo entrance fee for children is two hundred Thai Baht. If you are interested in visiting the Phuket Zoo then you can either drive there yourself or ask a taxi to take you there. Alternatively you can also ask your Phuket hotel concierge to arrange the trip for you.

Phuket Zoo Monkey Shows

One of the most popular attractions of the Phuket Zoo is the daily monkey shows. Especially the kids really seem to enjoy these rather unique Phuket Zoo monkey shows. The types of monkeys used at the monkey shows at the Phuket Zoo are short tailed macaque monkeys which are also frequently used to pick coconuts and this specie of monkeys can also still be found in the Thai wild life.

Phuket Zoo Crocodile Shows

Thailand is well known for its excellent crocodile shows and farm. One of the best crocodile shows on Phuket is the one at the Phuket Zoo. This attraction at the Phuket Zoo is a favorite with many visitors. The highlight of the Phuket Zoo crocodile zoo is most certainly the part where the crocodile handlers put his head in the mouth of the crocodile.

Phuket Zoo Elephant Shows

Elephants play an important part in the history and culture of Thailand. Even today elephants are still used by farmers and logging companies. The Phuket Zoo elephant show is the highlight for many people visiting the Phuket Zoo. The elephants perform a number of routines and tricks including a football game and an elephant race. After the show visitors can also take the opportunity to get their photo taken with some of the magnificent Phuket Zoo elephants.

The daily schedule for the Phuket Zoo elephant shows are as follows: 10:30, 13:30 and 16:00.

Phuket Zoo Aquarium

Although the Phuket Zoo aquarium is not as large and impressive as the Phuket Sea Aquarium, it is well worth visiting if you do go to the Phuket Zoo. You will enter the Phuket Zoo aquarium through an entrance which is in the shape of a rather large crocodile head. Many visitors do snap some pictures at this place. Visitors can see a variety of flora and fauna which is also found in the surrounding Andaman Sea.

Phuket Zoo Bird Park

One of the main attractions of the Phuket Zoo is its magnificent bird park. The Phuket Zoo has an excellent selection of both local bird species as well as bird species from around the world. All the birds can fly freely in the large aviary of the Phuket Zoo and they breed under natural conditions.

Phuket Zoo Orchid Garden

One of our favorite sections of the Phuket Zoo is its lovely orchid gardens. There are thousands of different types of orchids in a wide range of colors. The smells at the Phuket Zoo orchid garden are just amazing and indescribable.
