Having lived on Phuket for nearly a decade, I was under the impression that I knew all of the major Phuket attractions and activities which is why I was rather surprised to hear about the Phuket Stunt Show from a travel that was staying at my hotel in Patong Beach. I right away thought that the Phuket Stunt Show must have just opened and that I somehow missed the press release or perhaps even an article about it in the Phuket Gazette so you can imagine my surprise when I found out that the Phuket Stunt Show has actually been in operation for a couple of years!

The Phuket Stunt Show is in fact organized by a professional stunt company on Phuket which is called the Show Nam Nai Company. I was also surprised by the fact that there is actually a professional Phuket stunt company as we are on an tropical holiday island after all but apparently there are a lot of foreign movies which are filmed on Phuket and other places in this part of Thailand and many of these film productions use the services of this stunt company on Phuket. The Show Nam Nai Company was founded in 2004 by 3 film professionals from Norway and Sweden and they employ both local Thai stuntmen and foreign stuntmen.

The owners and organizers of the Phuket Stunt Show have temporarily shut down this Phuket show during the tourist low season as they are upgrading and renovating the facilities at this venue however they should reopen again before the upcoming Phuket tourist high season. Their latest plans for the stunt shows which visitors will be able to see are rather stunning and exiting. The folks from the Phuket Stunt Show refer to their new stunt show as being “Aqua Spectacular”. I have been able to have a look at the plans for this show and I was very much impressed. It will include stunts which seem to have come straight out of a Hollywood movie and could be seen at one of the Universal Studio theme parks. Some of the other types of things to look out for at the Phuket Stunt Show include for example stage and weapons fighting, a spectacular stunt show involving jet skis as well pyrotechnics, amazing high platform diving and some pretty funny comedy. Overall the Phuket Stunt Show is just an amazing experience which both young and old visitors will enjoy immensely. I would definitely recommend this wonderful Phuket show and attraction to families who are looking for some family friendly entertainment on Phuket.

The location of the Phuket Stunt Show is in the Chalong area of Phuket which is in the Southern part of the island. If you get to the Chalong roundabout then take the west bound road which is Patak road and from there keep an eye out for the signs which will point you in the right direction of the Phuket Stunt Show. Please note that if you don’t have any transportation that the folks of the Phuket Stunt Show also provide transportation for their clients.
