One of the most anticipated openings of a new venue on Phuket in recent memory must certainly have been the Phuket Brewery which opened this year. The Phuket Brewery brews its own beer, serves great food and provided world class entertainment. Personally I really like the fact that they brew their own beer and that it is of extremely good quality. It can easily be compared to a good lager beer from Germany or the Czech Republic. There are three different types of beers which are currently being brewed at the Phuket Brewery and they are lager beer, white beer and dark beer (Pearl Weizen Beer, Pearl Lager Beer and Pearl Dunkel Beer). Just looking at the names of the beers you should be able to pick up that there is a strong German influence at this brewery in Phuket. Some of this German influence is also reflected on the food menu with there being menu items such as deep fried pork knuckle brewery style.

The only thing which I find a little bit strange about the Phuket Brewery is its location. You would expect that a Phuket restaurant / bar / entertainment venue such as the Phuket Brewery would be targeting especially foreigners visiting Phuket however the location suggests otherwise. The Phuket Brewery is located on the main bypass road just across the road from the Tesco Lotus store and just down the road from such large Phuket shopping venues such as Big C and the Central Festival shopping mall. The main concern I have with the location of the Phuket Brewery is that it is relatively far away from all the main tourist areas of Phuket such as Laguna Phuket, Patong Beach, Kamala beach and the Kata / Karon beach areas. I would imagine that the Phuket Brewery would be the type of venue which many tourists and travelers would want to visit during their vacation however as the location of the Phuket Brewery is nearby to Phuket Town it seems doubtful that many tourists will want to drive all the way down to this new Phuket establishment. I did however see many local Thai residents and Phuket at the Phuket Brewery during my last visit of the venue. However I would like to point out that the Phuket Brewery does offer transportation services for its clients. They have cars for people staying in one of the Phuket beach resort areas and they have lovely open air vehicles for those folks who live in the area.

If you look at the type of live entertainment which is provided at the Phuket Brewery then you will quickly notice that they seem to aim to attract local residents as opposed to travelers and tourists. A lot of excellent Thai bands perform at the Phuket Brewery and visitors can even enjoy a pretty awesome Phuket magic show. So this venue is definitely more then only a restaurant or bar. What they actually provide is a complete form of entertainment which I can best describe as a dinner show. The Phuket Brewery is actually massive inside with more than a hundred tables spread over two floors. As this venue is so large, it makes it the ideal place to throw a special party or event. If you want to organize an event or party which is filled with excellent beer, good food and great entertainment then the Phuket Brewery is definitely the venue which you should use. There are also several different VIP rooms which you can book at the Phuket Brewery for those of you who would like to enjoy a bit more privacy and a luxurious environment. I would also like to point out that the Phuket Brewery is frequently used as somewhat of a concert hall with some of the leading musicians and bands performing live at this Phuket nightlife venue.
