If you would like to see a cabaret show during your Patong vacation then be sure to plan a visit to Simon’s cabaret which is located on the edge of town. Patong Holiday Considerations
A Patong holiday is not the right option for everyone. I would also like to be so honest to state some of the negative sides of a Patong holiday so that you can make the right decision. Phuket is known for its clear sea water and beautiful beaches. Personally I don’t really like Patong beach as it is a bit dirty and very crowded. If you are looking for unspoiled beaches or quiet beaches then perhaps a Patong holiday is not the right choice for you. In that case you should consider booking a resort at Nai Harn beach or Surin beach for example. There are beer bars all over Patong and in many of these beer bars there are sexy girls working who are looking to offer special entertainment to foreigners. Some parents do find it difficult to walk past these establishments with their young children during their Patong holiday. The same applies with going for breakfast in the morning as chances are that in many Patong hotels you will find bar girls in their sexy cloths from the night before enjoying breakfast with their new “boyfriend”.
Another annoying thing about Patong is that there are many pushy sales people and street vendors. It seems that every 5 meters someone will approach you and try to sell you something or offer you some type of service. If you are ok with that then there is no need to think about cancelling your Patong holiday however if you can’t stand these type of vendors and sales people then perhaps you should look to book elsewhere in Phuket. Please note however that you will find these sales people everywhere on Phuket but there seems to be more in Patong beach then elsewhere on the island.
