Patong Diving
If you have never done any diving before then Phuket is definitely a great place to get into contact with diving. You can get PADI certified at a fraction of the cost of what it would cost to do so in many other major tourist destinations. The Andaman Sea is generally known as one of the leading diving destinations around the world which is perhaps why there are so many Patong diving operations and shops. If you are an experienced diver then you will most likely have decided to spend your vacation on Phuket so that you can enjoy some diving. There are many Phuket dive shops which you can select from and be sure to do some price shopping.
Most of the Patong diving outfits operate dive boats out of Rawaii or Chalong. Unfortunately there is no shore diving in Patong so divers will normally be picked up in the morning by mini bus and taken by their Patong diving outfit down to Chalong or Rawaii.
The Phuket guide has listed and reviewed for you some of the more popular Patong diving companies. If you are planning to do some diving and are staying at one of the Patong accommodation providers then you should definitely consider using one of the following Patong dive companies.
