The Number 1 Bar Patong beach is located in the Patong OTOP market which is somewhat like a large outdoor shopping venue which consists of hundreds of small shops and stands selling all types of products including souvenirs, copy DVD movies, copy software products etc. The OTOP market in Patong beach is also home to a few dozen outdoor Phuket beer bars including of course the Number 1 Bar Phuket. A lot of the Phuket expats that live in the area often visit these Patong bars as prices are cheaper than elsewhere in Patong and the bars tend open earlier in the day however they also do not stay open as late as the Bangla Road beer bars. I would personally suggest for you to have a few cold beers at the Number One Bar Phuket in the late afternoon or early evening before heading off to the more busy nightlife areas of Patong and which include for example Soi Bangla, Soi Crocodile and Soi Eric. The great thing about enjoying a beer at one of the OTOP beer bars is that you won’t get hassled to much as you would elsewhere in Phuket.
