The MVC Patong House is yet another new hotel in Patong beach which has recently opened its doors to the public. It is amazing how many new hotels and guesthouses open on Phuket every year. I had not been in Patong for only 2 months and when I recently returned I came across yet another group of newly opened Patong hotels with the MVC Patong House being one of them. What I do like about seeing some of these new hotels in Patong is that the quality level seems to improve as is the case with the MVC Patong House. A lot of the smaller hotels that opened a decade ago in Patong were mediocre at best however it seems that even the new budget hotels and Patong guesthouses seem to be better the most of the older hotels in Patong beach.

I was actually informed about the existence of the MVC Patong House in Patong beach by a friend of mine who had visited Phuket over Christmas and was only able to find available accommodation at the MVC Patong House as it had only recently opened and it is very common for new properties to have available rooms even during the high season. Anyway, my friend had really liked his stay at the MVC Patong House and he had told me that the owners market the MVC Patong House as being a boutique hotel which I personally really like as these types of hotels are normally full of art work or are hip & trendy.

The MVC Patong House is a relatively small 3 star deluxe Patong boutique which offers 30 spacious and rather well appointed guest rooms to travelers and tourists. The MVC Patong House is a bit on the pricy side with regular room rates starting at around 1350 Thai Baht per room per night during the Phuket tourist low season which I am afraid is a bit on the high side for a new 3 star Patong hotel. I expect that the MVC Patong House will be lowering their rates as they won’t be able to fill up their hotel. So in case you are interested in booking a stay at the MVC Patong House in Patong beach then please be sure to keep your eye out for last minute specials or at least try to bargain with the reservation staff.

The MVC Patong House is situated in a modern looking 5 story building which is rather unique in the way it was designed and constructed. It certainly is one of the nicer buildings which have been built in Patong beach recently. When I entered the lobby area during my recent visit of the MVC Patong House I could immediately see why this Patong hotel is marketing itself as a boutique hotel. The entrance and reception of the MVC Patong hotel was rather beautifully designed and had a very artistic feel to it. I was also greeted in a very friendly way by all the staff of this Patong beach boutique hotel and I was also very much impressed by the language skills.

The MVC Patong House in Patong beach is located just across the street from the Patong Hospital which is an area of town which is currently seeing a lot of improvements and development. This area of Patong beach was previously more of a residential area but has recently seen a lot of new restaurants and hotels opened there. The walk down to the white sandy beach of Patong should take no more than 5 minutes and tourists and travelers staying at the MVC Patong House can also easily walk down to Jungceylon shopping mall or the Bangla road area of Patong.

Although there are 30 guest rooms at the MVC Patong House, guests are able to choose from a number of different room categories and these include standard rooms, deluxe rooms and grand deluxe rooms. Although the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, the rooms did not really match my expectations considering the MVC Patong House is marketing itself as a boutique hotel. I was expecting more art work in the rooms and a nicer interior design. However once again I must stress that the rooms are very nice especially considering that this Patong hotel only has a 3 star rating. Guests staying at the MVC Patong House can various modern and somewhat luxurious room amenities and facilities which include a private balcony, color cable television, private safe in room and high speed wireless internet access.

The MVC Patong House is a rather small hotel and only offers a very limited range of facilities and services. There is no swimming pool or gym for example at this Patong boutique hotel. However the MVC Patong House is very centrally located and there are plenty of activities and attractions which Patong beach has to offer its visitors.

There is however a rather nice restaurant at the MVC House Patong which opens daily at 06:00 and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu of this food and beverage venue consists mainly of Thai dishes however there are several western style dishes on the menu as well. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby to the MVC House Patong.
