The Liontchai Phuket guesthouse is one of several Patong gay guesthouses which we have reviewed in our handy online Phuket travel guide. As with most of the gay hotels in Patong beach, the Liontchai Guesthouse is located in the Patong Paradise complex which is known as the center of the Phuket gay scene. There are a number of different Phuket guesthouses in the Paradise complex which cater mostly to gay travelers and tourists. There are also a lot of other Patong gay businesses there and include different Patong gay bars, gay clubs, gay sauna and Phuket gay massage parlors.

I would like to be honest and mention to you that the Liontchai guesthouse is not really one of my favorite guesthouses in the Patong Paradise complex. Although the rooms are clean and spacious at the Phuket Liontchai guesthouse and the staff and manager of this Patong gay hotel are very helpful and friendly, I don’t really like the exterior of the building in which the Liontchai guesthouse is located. On the ground floor of this Patong beach guesthouse there is a internet café which is located basically in the reception area of this gay guesthouse in Patong. It can get very busy in that area of the building due to the many people from outside who use this internet café and it just gives the entire place a very cluttered look which is not something I really like or appreciate.

However as I mentioned before, the guest rooms are clean and spacious and actually look rather nice. This of course should be the most important aspect of any hotel or guesthouse so I am fairly certain that many of the guests staying at the Liontchai Patong guesthouse have a comfortable and especially convenient stay due to the close proximity to many of the leading Phuket gay attractions and venues. If you want to walk down to the white sandy beach of Patong then it will take you about 5 minutes. Some other popular Patong attractions which are located nearby to the Liontchai Phuket guesthouse are Soi Bangla road and the massive and very modern Patong Jungceylon shopping center.

Personally I believe that the room rates which the Liontchai guesthouse in Patong charges to its clients are somewhat on the expensive side as you could stay at one of the nice Patong boutique guesthouses for less money. The room rate during the low season is 900 Thai Baht per room per night and 1500 Thai Baht per room per night during the Patong tourist peak season. On a positive note, the Liontchai guesthouse in Patong is probably the only guesthouse or hotel on Phuket which I know about which offers both a computer and high speed internet access in each and every room. I think that this is really a very nice touch as many travelers and tourist don’t like to travel with a laptop and using the internet in a cybercafé does not offer a great deal of privacy and security.

The Liontchai Phuket guesthouse is owned by a nice French man who is well known in the Phuket gay community. He always makes himself available to his customers and he is a great source for information about what is going on in Patong and on the rest of the island. If you are planning to stay at this Phuket gay guesthouse then be sure to have a chat with him and ask him any questions which you may have about Phuket or Thailand.
