Most tourists will most likely have never heard of Laem Ka beach as well as many Phuket expats that live on the West coast of Phuket. Laem Ka Beach Location

Laem Ka Beach is located between Chalong Bay and Rawai beach. This wonderful Phuket beach is located along the East coast of Phuket and is located only a short distance away from Rawai beach. So if you are driving from the Chalong area then you simply head south to Rawai. Once you get to Rawai then we would suggest for you to ask a local person for assistance as it can be rather tricky to find the right road which will take you down to Laem Ka beach. Although the wonderful Laem Ka beach is located rather far away from the more popular Phuket beach areas of Patong beach and Kamala beach, we do suggest for all travelers to hire a car or motorbike and to visit this spectacular Phuket beach. There is really no beach like Laem Ka beach when it comes to experiencing a Thai style beach atmosphere.

Laem Ka Beach Activities

As Laem Ka beach is known mostly only to local Thai residents, you will not find many activities at Laem Ka beach. This is also a benefit as you will not get hassled by beach vendors or be disturbed by noise from speed boats and jet skies. The water is safe at Laem Ka beach so you can enjoy swimming and Laem Ka beach and its water is considered to be kids friendly. So if you are traveling to Phuket with your children then you should definitely consider visiting Laem Ka beach.

Laem Ka Beach Hotels and Resorts

If you would like to stay in this quiet part of Phuket then there are not many hotels and resorts which are located directly at Laem Ka Beach. The only option that you would really have would be the 5 star deluxe Phuket Evason Resort and Spa. Some other Phuket hotels and resorts which are located only a short drive away from Laem Ka beach would be Le Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club and the ever so popular Phuket Mangosteen Resort and Spa. There are also some inexpensive Phuket guesthouses in the general Laem Ka beach area.

Laem Ka Beach Restaurants

There is only one main restaurant at Laem Ka beach and it is of course a Thai seafood restaurant. They do serve a variety of other Thai dishes as well. Please note that this Laem Ka beach restaurant is not always open as it only seems to be open when there are plenty of Thai people on the beach of Laem Ka. As Laem Ka beach is very popular with local Phuket residents, you will also find a lot of small food stalls at Laem Ka beach when it is busy. You can purchase a variety of Thai snacks and fresh food from these vendors at Laem Ka beach.....
