Koh Bon Island


If you want to see rare marine life creatures and see manta rays, then Thailand is the place to go to, specifically in the Koh Bon Island. Hundreds of tourists rush here in Koh Bon Island during the month of April until the month of May because of the manta rays.
However, Koh Bon Island is not just all about the manta rays. The leopard sharks also set as an attraction for most tourists especially those who are into water sports activities such as diving and snorkelling. You can also be fascinated with all the colorful soft corals that are mostly green, turquoise, and yellow in color.
The Koh Bon Island has a small cove where you can dive during the night. Most of the reefs were made from pore corals. You can see little shrimpgobies peeping out the holes. There are also coral ledges that can be found inside this small cove. Other sea creatures that you will find in this small cove include red octopus, boxer shrimps, and sea anemones.
However, it is advisable that if you check with the local department of Koh Bon Island if there will be an upcoming storm and alike so that you know when to schedule your diving holiday. But although there are no storms, the authorities of Koh Bon Island would not let you dive in some days because of the strong current. More often than not, divers go here during the months of November until April. Koh Bon Island is great for intermediate divers and of course, for the advanced divers.
