There is a large ball room at the Katina Hotel as well as three separate meeting rooms. The Katina Hotel Phuket is located in a tall building which has I believe 10 stories. The exterior might be somewhat modern and lacking perhaps a bit of charm but once you enter the hotel through the reception area you will right away have a very different opinion about this 4 star Phuket business hotel. The interior of the hotel is modern yet has authentic Thai design and style touches to it and I was a bit surprised to find such as hotel in this part of Phuket. The Katina Hotel Phuket would fit right in with the other 4 star hotels in Amsterdam, London or Bangkok. I was given the opportunity to speak to some of the staff and it was clearly visible that they were highly trained and had great managers. Although it seems that most of the clients staying at the Katina Hotel Phuket were Thai or Asian, the staff spoke English very well so you should not encounter any language problems if you will end up staying at the Katina Hotel in Phuket.
As I mentioned before, the Katina Hotel has 208 rooms and suites on offer and there are actually three different room types available for guests to choose from and that includes deluxe rooms, executive rooms and lovely junior suites. Each of the rooms and suites of the Phuket Katina Hotel comes equipped with lots of great facilities and amenities which include for example international and Thai television programming, international direct dial telephone, high speed internet access, fully stocked mini bar and coffee & tea making facilities. The rooms have been beautifully designed and decorated and the furnishings are outstanding in the rooms and suites of the Katina Hotel Phuket. I could definitely imagine spending some time at this wonderful hotel in Phuket City.
Another great aspect about the Phuket Katina Hotel is the fact that it has so many great services and facilities on offer for their guests. Even though the Katina Hotel is mainly a business hotel, this Phuket business hotel does have a lovely roof top swimming pool and Jacuzzi and there is also a state of the art fitness center which also attracts some of the Phuket expats and other local Phuket residents. Their Phuket fitness center is open daily from 09:00 until 20:00 and their swimming pool and Jacuzzi is open daily from 06:00 until 20:00.
Phuket Katina Hotel Food and Beverage
It is actually a bit surprising that the Phuket Katina Hotel only has 3 food and beverage outlets considering the size of this Phuket business hotel.
The Captain Bush restaurant is the only real restaurant on the premises thus it is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most of the diners will opt for either the buffet or for one of the set menus. There is a wonderful singer there in the evening for some great live entertainment.
The Katina Lobby Bar is located in the reception area of the Katina Hotel and it’s a great place to read a newspaper whilst enjoying a cup of coffee.
No visit to Thailand can be complete without visiting a Karaoke and the Phuket Katina Hotel has its very own VIP Karaoke Club which is open daily from 18:00 until midnight.

The Phuket Katina Hotel is located in the suburbs of Phuket City, the capital city of Phuket, so that is a bit strange location for such a large hotel. However occupancy rates are excellent so I guess the location is suitable for many people. What I do like about the location of the Phuket Katina Hotel is the fact that it is located near to the Phuket by Pass road and some of the main Phuket shopping destinations such as the Phuket Central Festival Mall, Phuket Makro, Phuket Big C and Phuket Tesco Lotus.
