Unfortunately I did not notice this small budget hotel before as it is located in a small side street but when you look at their prices and the outstanding location of the Kata Rock Inn Sea View near to the beach of Kata then it really is a great option for travelers who would like to be very close to the beach yet can’t afford the room rates which most hotels close to the beach of Kata charge.

The Kata Rock Inn Sea View hotel is a very small hotel which offers 10 guest rooms / bungalows to tourists and travelers. This hotel in Kata beach is located along the hillside and I would like to point out that the only way to get to the guest accommodation is by walking up some rater steep chairs. So if you have any mobility issues then the Kata Rock Inn Sea View hotel will not be a suitable option for you. Please have a look at the photos at the end of this article so that you know what I mean.

The Kata Rock Inn Sea View hotel is a rather basic hotel, so please do not expect many facilities there. There is no swimming pool or gym for example but I think the main qualities of this hotel in Kata beach is its outstanding location, its semi private bungalows / rooms and its low prices. Do you really need a swimming pool if the white sandy beach of Kata and the crystal blue waters of the Andaman Sea are only a short walk away? And there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops located in the direct surroundings of the Kata Rock Inn Sea View hotel. I would also like to point out that this Kata budget hotel is located in the Southern part of Kata so it is located actually very close to Kata Noi beach as well. So guests staying at the Kata Rock In Sea View hotel can easily visit either of these wonderful Phuket beaches.

What the Kata Rock Inn Sea View does have is an excellent Thai restaurant which is called the Mai Thai restaurant. The reception area of this Kata beach hotel is actually located at the Mai Thai restaurant. Although the Mai Thai restaurant serves primarily Thai cuisine, the restaurant of the Kata Rock Inn Sea View also serves some popular Western dishes which include for example pizza. The Mai Thai restaurant in Kata beach is relatively large and can host up to one hundred guests at a time. Guests staying at the Kata Rock Inn Sea View can enjoy breakfast in the morning at the Mai Thai restaurant.

The 10 rooms of the Kata Rock Inn in Kata beach are relatively basic but what do expect from a budget hotel. There are actually 5 bungalows located at this budget hotel in Kata beach and per bungalow there are 2 separate guest rooms with one room being on the ground floor and another room being on the first floor. All of the rooms come with either with twin beds or single beds so it really is not ideal for couples although you can move the twin beds together. The rooms look a bit full however I must say that they are very clean and I would have no problem spending a few nights in one of the rooms of the Kata Rock Inn Sea View hotel. The rooms do have a private bathroom with hot water as well as having international television programming and air-conditioning which really is a must in this tropical climate.

As mentioned earlier on, the room rates are very cheap for the Kata Rock Inn hotel in Kata beach with room rates starting at around 1000 Thai Baht per room per night however if you are staying for a few weeks then I am certain that you can negotiate a big discount.
