Kangaroo Guesthouse Karon Beach
As you might have guessed, the owner of the Kangaroo Guesthouse in Karon beach is Australian. He owns and managed this Karon beach guesthouse with his Thai partner and they seem to be doing well considering the fact that the Kangaroo Guesthouse in Karon beach was fully booked when I visited. I also visited the bar and the restaurant of the Phuket Kangaroo Guesthouse in Karon beach which are both located on the ground floor. I had a wonderful meal at this Karon beach restaurant and the items on the menu were very competitively priced. If you are traveling on a tight budget but are still looking for a nice meal which won’t you give you any stomach problems then I would definitely recommend the restaurant of the Kangaroo Guesthouse in Karon beach to you.
When I visited the Kangaroo Phuket guesthouse I was warmly greeted by the Thai staff at the front desk and they spoke a good level of English and were very courteous. I also had the opportunity to meet the Aussie owner of the Kangaroo guesthouse in Karon beach and as with most Australians that I have met on Phuket this guy was also very nice, friendly and an extremely good host. Everyone seemed to be very happy that I came over for a site inspection of the Karon beach Kangaroo Guesthouse.
This Karon beach guesthouse is located in a Thai style 2 story shop house which the type of structure in which most of the guesthouses on Phuket Island are situated in. You won’t have any problems finding the Kangaroo Guesthouse in Karon beach as the exterior of this Karon beach guesthouse is painted in a bright pink color. I have to admit however that the exterior of the Kangaroo guesthouse did not look really all that special however this is rather common when it comes to Karon guesthouses. What I did like about visiting the Kangaroo guesthouse is that it is in a different area of Karon beach then the other Karon beach guesthouses which I have reviewed in the past. The Kangaroo Guesthouse is located in the Southern section of Karon beach and is located in a lively section of this Phuket resort town. There are many affordable shopping venues, restaurants and bars located within walking distance of this Karon beach guesthouse. The white sandy beach of Karon is located only a 2 minute walks away from the Karon Beach Kangaroo Guesthouse.
The Kangaroo Guesthouse in Karon beach is a medium sized guesthouse which offers 16 rooms to travelers and tourists. Fourteen of the rooms are double rooms and 2 of the guest rooms of the Kangaroo Guesthouse in Karon beach are twin rooms. Every of the Kangaroo Guesthouse rooms has a private balcony and offers the type of facilities and amenities which you will find in most Phuket guesthouses such as international television programming, air-conditioning and an in-room safe. The guest rooms of the Kangaroo Guesthouse in Karon beach are a bit plain looking and cannot really be compared to those rooms found at some of the nicer and trendier guesthouses in Patong beach. However if you are looking for cheap and clean accommodation in Karon beach then I would definitely recommend for you to have a closer look at the website of the Phuket Kangaroo guesthouse. Room rates start at around 400 Thai Baht per room per night during the Karon tourist low season and double during the tourist high season.
