I have always found it difficult to recommend a guesthouse in Kamala beach as the overall quality of Kamala beach guesthouses is not really all that high which is why it’s good that someone invited me to the Kamala Phuyai Guesthouse the other week. One of the main selling points of this guesthouse in Kamala beach is its excellent location. The Kamala Phuyai Guesthouse is located along the main road which leads through Kamala but the beach area of Kamala is located only 100 meters away. The good thing about staying along the main road in Kamala is that there are plenty of inexpensive shops, restaurants, bars and even beer bars which are located in this section of Kamala. So you won’t have to walk very far away from the Kamala Phuyai Guesthouse to find a bite to eat, a cold drink to drink or some lovely companionship at one of the nearby Kamala beer bars. It is also easy to get to Patong Beach as the Kamala Phuyai Guesthouse is located in the Southern part of Kamala which is near the hill which you will cross to get to Kalim Beach and Patong Beach.

The Kamala Phuyai Guesthouse is located in a relatively new and modern building and the property has been well maintained by the current owners. So you won’t have to worry about staying in an older type of building or one that hasn’t been kept in good condition. The most impressive about this Kamala Beach guesthouse are its guest rooms. There are 3 different room types from which travelers & tourists can choose and that’s the Superior Room, the Double room and the Twin room. All of the rooms of the Kamala Phuyai Guesthouse are nicely decorated and furnished in a modern Thai style. The superior rooms even have a bathtub which is fairly rare with guesthouses in Phuket. Some of the room amenities and facilities which guests can enjoy in the rooms include for example international television programming, private bathroom, air conditioning, mini bar and a private terrace. Rates for the cheapest type of room at the Kamala Phuyai Guesthouse start at 800 Thai Baht per room per night during the low season and at 1300 Thai Baht per room per night during the high season. Special discounted rates can be negotiated if you are planning to stay for a lengthy period of time.

Facilities wise there is not too much to talk about other then there being plenty of parking space and the high speed internet access which is offered to the guests staying at the Kamala Phuyai Guesthouse. There is no swimming pool or food and beverage outlet at this guesthouse at Kamala but this should not be a problem as there are plenty of great restaurants within easy walking distance of this Kamala Beach guesthouse.
