The massive expansion of Patong beach is now also affecting nearby Kalim and real estate and hotel investors are now investing into Kalim which has resulted into some really nice new resorts opening such as the Kalim Resort Phuket. If you are interested in staying close of all the nightlife venues, shopping venues and other entertainment options yet you want to stay in a quiet surrounding then I definitely suggest for you to look into staying at a resort in Kalim beach such as the Kalim Resort Phuket as its only a minute drive away from Patong beach yet it is like a completely different world due to the lack of big shops, walking street and all the beer bars and discos which you will find in Patong beach.

The Kalim Resort Phuket is one of the largest resorts in Kalim with its 78 guest rooms. I wasn’t aware of the existence of this resort in Kalim for the simple reason that it’s located in a side street which I never drove through. However recently I decided to explore all the side and back streets in Kalim so as to find new guesthouses, restaurants and other interesting venues and this is when I happened to drive by the Kalim Resort Phuket. It actually looks really beautiful from the outside so I was surprised to find this medium sized and rather charming resort in this small side street in Kalim beach.

The Phuket Kalim Resort consists of a large U shaped 4 story building and there is a large outdoor swimming pool which is located in the center of the U shape. It actually looks a bit like of one of those resorts you would find in Cancun for example. I personally really like this style of resorts and I am certain that most travelers and tourists will like the style in which the 3 star Kalim Resort Phuket in Kalim beach is designed.

I would like to point out something in regards to the beach at Kalim. It is a rather rocky beach with lots of coral so it is not really suitable for swimming in my opinion. So if you are looking for a resort where you can easily walk down to the beach then perhaps Kalim is not a suitable option for you. However if you drive with a scooter down to Patong beach then it is only a 1 or 2 minute drive so distance is not really an issue.

During my recent site inspection of the Kalim Resort Phuket I was shown some of the wonderful guest rooms of this resort in Kalim beach by one of the managers. As mentioned before, there are 78 guest rooms at the Kalim Resort Patong and guests can choose from superior rooms and deluxe rooms. All of the Kalim Resort guest rooms offer a nice view of the resort’s swimming pool. I must say that the rooms are very nicely designed and the rooms are superb considering that the Kalim Resort Phuket is only a 3 star resort. I also liked the fact that the bathroom has a separate shower and bath tub which is not something you will find at many similar resorts in Phuket. Guests will also be able to enjoy from various different modern room amenities and facilities including for example high speed internet access, air conditioning, fully stocked mini bar, international television programming and direct dial telephone. Every room also has a nice balcony where you can enjoy getting a sun tan or a nice cocktail in the evening.

The Kalim Resort Phuket offers plenty of facilities and services so that all of the guests can have a relaxing and enjoyable stay at this beautiful resort in Kalim beach. Not only is there a very large outdoor swimming pool at the Kalim Resort Patong Beach but there is also a fitness corner for those of you who would like to stay in shape. There is also a massage service on offer at this resort in Kalim Beach as well as a pool table, wireless internet access, hair salon, beauty salon and an outstanding tour desk.

If you are feeling hungry then there is no need to leave the grounds of the Kalim Resort Phuket as there is an excellent restaurant at the resort. The Kalim Resort restaurant is open daily from 06:00 until midnight and it serves both local Thai dishes as well as international dishes. Please note that you can book a room at the Kalim Resort on half board or full board basis. If you want to eat outside then there are plenty of small restaurants within easy walking distance from the Kalim Resort Phuket.
