I am actually rather pleased that I came across the Hotel Thalassa Phuket as I have not added too many of these types of resorts in our handy online Phuket travel guide. It is a small and intimate property where guests can have a wonderful and relaxing holiday experience. Guests will be close to some of the nicest beaches of Phuket yet they are still far away from all the noisy nightlife venues of Patong Beach and Kata beach.
The Hotel Thalassa Phuket is situated in the Rawai – Nai Harn beach area of Phuket and one of the great benefits of staying at this great Phuket holiday resort is the fact that there are 3 gorgeous Phuket beaches which are located within a short drive from the Phuket Thalassa Village Resort and they are Nai Harn Beach, Rawai Beach and Ya Nui beach. Personally I prefer these Phuket beaches over the more famous Phuket beaches such as Patong beach, Kata beach and Karon beach. Another thing which I would like to mention is that restaurants, shops and resorts are generally considerably cheaper in this part of Phuket so a hotel such as the Hotel Thalassa Phuket is an ideal holiday accommodation option for budget travelers and tourists.
The Hotel Thalassa Phuket is French owned and managed and you will generally find a lot of French tourists and travelers staying at this unique Phuket holiday resort. The staff however doesn’t speak French but they do speak decent English so you should have no communication problems when staying at the Thalassa Village Resort in Phuket.
If you are looking for a luxurious resort then this won’t be a suitable option for you as I would rank the Hotel Thalassa Phuket as a 3 star hotel and I must admit that the rooms and facilities seem a bit dated however the facilities and rooms are surely up to standard so that you can have a comfortable and pleasant stay at this holiday resort near Nai Harn beach. Many of the resorts in Nai Harn beach are rather upscale and expensive so it’s good that there are affordable options such as the Phuket Thalassa Village Resort.
There are three different room types available at this 11 unit Phuket holiday resort. Guests can choose from the following room types at the Hotel Thalassa Phuket: Bungalows, Junior Suites and Deluxe Suites. The last room type is ideal for families as the deluxe suites can host up to 4 people. All of the units at this Phuket holiday resort are designed in a Thai style holiday style which might be a bit dated but still looks ok in my opinion. And the bungalows and suites come standard with a range of modern facilities and amenities including for example international television programming, air conditioning, safe and a private bathroom. The junior suites and the deluxe suites also come equipped with a kitchen which is great for guests who are planning to stay for a lengthy period of time.
I would also like to mention that there is a rather nice swimming pool and tropical garden area at the Hotel Thalassa Phuket as well as a wonderful Jacuzzi. The bar and lounge area near the swimming pool also serves breakfast to the guests in the morning time. And for pure relaxation you can go to the massage area of this Phuket holiday resort where you can enjoy a leisurely massage.
The price for a bungalow at the Phuket Thalassa Village Resort starts at only 550 Thai Baht per bungalow per night during the low season and increases up to only 900 Thai Baht during the Phuket tourist peak season.
