Yet another lovely boutique hotel has opened its doors in Patong beach to travelers and tourists and that is the Hotel Nirvana Patong Beach. This Patong boutique hotel is ideal for those of you who are want to stay at a hotel which has an arty and trendy design & atmosphere. I applaud the new breed of hotel owners who are turning 3 star hotels and guesthouses into trendy places to stay and the Italian owner and manager of the Hotel Nirvana in Patong Beach has certainly succeeded in this.

The Hotel Nirvana in Patong Beach is located in a small side street of Rat U Thit 200 Year road and I never really noticed this Patong boutique hotel before. The Hotel Nirvana in Patong Beach also has an excellent Italian restaurant which is called “La Dolce Vita”. My wife and I were invited there recently for a birthday dinner of a close friend of ours which is how I got to visit the restaurant and the hotel Nirvana Phuket for the very first time. I will start of by offering information about the Hotel Nirvana and later on I will offer a brief review of the La Dolce Vita Italian restaurant as well.

If you look at the website of the Hotel Nirvana in Patong Beach then you will see that there are no photos of the exterior of this Patong boutique hotel which is not very surprising considering the fact that the Patong Hotel Nirvana is located in a typical shop house building which is not very spectacular. There is only so much one can do to decorate the exterior of such a building which is probably why I never noticed the Hotel Nirvana in Patong Beach before. However the moment that you enter the Phuket Hotel Nirvana then you will immediately notice how the interior of this Patong boutique hotel has been styled and designed in a magnificent way. I can’t help but think that the fact that the owner and manager are Italian that it has played an important role with how the Hotel Nirvana in Patong Beach has been designed.

Although the Hotel Nirvana in Patong Beach clearly categorizes itself as being a hotel, I do believe that a boutique guesthouse would be more appropriate for the simple reason that facilities wise the Nirvana Patong Beach has little to offer its guests. There is no swimming pool, business center of gym and which are some of the facilities which guests would expect to find when staying at a regular hotel. There is however a great Italian restaurant on the premises as mentioned earlier and another thing which I liked about the Hotel Nirvana in Patong Beach was the fact that the staff and management went out of their way to help and please their guests. I did inspect some of the rooms after I had dinner at the restaurant and I was shown around by one of the charming ladies who work at the front desk of the Hotel Nirvana Patong Beach. I was very much impressed by the wonderful guest rooms as they were decorated and styled in a very hip and trendy way which had strong Asian influences. Many of the rooms even have a nice private balcony where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the early evening. The rooms of the Hotel Nirvana Phuket come equipped with modern facilities and amenities such as international television programming, air-conditioning, private bathroom, free high speed wireless internet access, international direct dial telephone, complimentary magazines and an in room safe.

As you could read earlier on in this handy Hotel Nirvana Patong Beach review, there is an excellent Italian restaurant which is part of the hotel. The Dolce Vita restaurant is also superbly decorated and furnished and it is one of the nicest looking Italian restaurants in Patong beach in my opinion. The Dolce Vita restaurant not only serves Italian food but also some Thai dishes for the Thai ladies and western dishes in case you aren’t in the mood for Italian cuisine. I tried some of the pasta dishes and the pizzas and they were absolutely delicious. I would also like to mention that La Dolce Vita restaurant also has an excellent offering of Italian wines.
