The Honey Resort Kata Beach is a medium sized 3 star Phuket resort which offers 55 beautifully designed and spacious guest rooms to travelers and tourists. I will go into further detail about the accommodation of the Honey Resort in Kata beach later on in this Phuket resort review however I can already tell you that the rooms available at the Kata beach Honey Resort are easily as nice as many of the rooms found in 4 or even 5 star resorts and hotels on the island of Phuket.
The only negative point which I could find with the Phuket Honey Resort in Kata beach is the fact that this trendy Kata resort is not located right next to the beach. However there is little to no available land near or next to the beach of Kata so basically any new hotel or resort in Kata beach will be situated away from the beach area unless investors take over an exciting Kata beach hotel or resort which is located at the beach. However even though the Honey Resort Kata beach is not located directly at the beach of Kata, the Honey Resort is located within easy walking distance of the beach so guests will have no problem getting down to the beach and enjoy some time in the water or sunbathing on the beach.
As I have often mentioned, Kata beach is probably one of the best holiday destinations on Phuket for families with children as the nightlife is low key and there are more family friendly activities and attractions compared to some of the other Phuket holiday destinations such as Patong beach. The Phuket Honey Resort in Kata beach would definitely be a suitable option for families as this trendy Kata resort does offer some nice facilities and is located within easy walking distance to the beach of Kata as well as too many of the popular Kata attractions, shopping venues and restaurants. Please note however that the Honey Resort in Kata beach is only a relatively small resort so you won’t find some of the facilities which the large resorts in Kata beach offer such as tennis courts and kids clubs.
As soon as you arrive outside of the Honey Resort in Kata beach then you will right away that you are up for a treat. The 5 story building in which this trendy Kata resort is situated is rather stunning and impressive and the building looks especially great when you see it at night. The interior of the Honey Resort in Kata beach is easily as nice if not nicer than the exterior of the building in which this trendy Kata resort is situated. You can right away see that the designer made every effort to turn this resort into a hip and trendy boutique resort. There is a lot of art work throughout the resort as well as trendy furniture. Another impressive aspect about the design of the Phuket Honey Resort in Kata beach is the way that they have designed the lighting as this trendy Kata resort looks even better at night as it does during the day time.
Another important aspect of any hotel or resort is the quality of its staff. Considering that the Honey Resort only has a 3 star rating I was more than impressed by the excellent staff and management which are working at the Phuket Honey Resort in Kata beach.
Honey Resort Phuket Location
The Honey Resort is located in Kata beach which is one of the largest Phuket holiday destinations together with Patong beach and Karon beach. Travelers who want to hit the nightlife tend to book accommodation in Patong beach and couples and families often prefer to stay in either Kata beach or Karon beach. These are also the type of travelers and tourists that will stay at a Kata resort such as the Honey Resort. If I would be traveling to Phuket with my young children then I would definitely stay in either the Karon or Kata beach area of Phuket.
The Honey Resort Phuket is in fact located along Kata Road which is roughly right in the middle of Kata. If you are looking for a centrally located Kata hotel or resort then the Honey Resort in Kata beach definitely fits that bill. One of the nice things about the location of this trendy Kata Resort is that it is located so centrally so that guests staying at this Honey Resort can easily walk down to the white sandy beach of Kata. There are also dozens of outstanding Kata restaurants, shops and small bars which are located in the direct vicinity of the Phuket Honey Resort in Kata beach. Getting a taxi or a Tuk Tuk in Phuket can be rather expensive so it is always nice if you are able to get around on foot.
Honey Resort Kata Beach Accommodation
The things which I found most impressive at the Phuket Honey Resort in Kata beach was its lovely guest rooms. As mentioned previously, there are 55 well appointed and rather spacious guest rooms at this trendy Kata beach resort and although the Honey Resort in Kata beach has a 3 stat rating, I personally believe that the rooms of this resort in Kata beach can easily be compared to the rooms which are offered by many 4 star and even some 5 star resorts on Phuket. For that matter, I personally would not rate the Honey Resort in Kata beach as being a 3 star resort but a 4 star resort.
There are 2 different room categories available at the Honey Resort Phuket in Kata beach from which travelers and tourists can choose. You can either choose to stay in one of the regular deluxe guest rooms or you can reserve one of the pool access deluxe rooms which are only a few hundred Thai Baht per room per night more yet offer direct access to the swimming pool from the balcony. Considering the fact that it only costs a few hundred Thai Baht more I would strongly suggest for you to book one of the deluxe pool access rooms when you do decide that you want to stay at the Phuket Honey Resort in Kata beach.
The interior designed has done a terrific job on designed and furnishing the rooms of this trendy Kata beach resort. Normally I don’t really like it if a lot of wood is used in the rooms as it can make the rooms look tacky and cheap but this is not the case with the rooms at the Honey Resort in Kata beach. All of the rooms at this trendy Resort in Kata beach come with a full range of facilities and amenities which include for example high speed wireless broadband internet connection, in room safe, big couch of sofa bed, fridge and mini bar, LCD television, international television programming, shower and bathtub, private balcony or terrace and international direct dial telephone.
If you are planning a stay at the Honey Resort in Kata beach with friends or family then you are able to book inter-connecting rooms but please do so well in advance as availability is limited.
Honey Resort Phuket Facilities
In terms of facilities the Honey Resort in Kata beach can’s really compare to some of the larger resorts on Phuket as these large Phuket resorts will have a larger number of facilities on offer. However there are some nice facilities and services offered at the Phuket Honey Resort in Kata beach which will keep guests of all ages occupied.
If you are planning to rent a car or jeep on Phuket then please note that the Honey Resort Phuket has plenty of free parking spaces available right in front of the resort. I would also like to point out that there are lifts available in the 5 story building which unfortunately is not the case with all of the resorts on Phuket.
Some of the other facilities and services which you can enjoy during your stay at the Kata Honey Resort include a gorgeous outdoor swimming pool, 24 hour security, travel and tour desk, laundry service, high speed wireless internet access and a lovely restaurant with chill out bar / lounge.
