Health Tips

When on vacation, one tend to be carefree about the things they eat and the places they visit. Though this is a great tourist attitude, one must also exercise some commonsense and think about their health. Diarrhea may not be life-threatening – but when one is on vacation, it could very well ruin your holiday.
Here are some health tips that one could use on their visit to Phuket:
Always bring a bag full of medications; for headache, stomachache, diarrhea, colds and allergies.
Bring crackers and energy bars on your trip– in case your sugar level gets low or if you just want to munch on something.

Never drink water from tap – bottled water is always the safest bet and it is cheap and available everywhere.
Alcohol is not considered as water. It will probably quench the thirst but it will definitely make a person more dehydrated.
Food is part of a vacation's cultural experience, but one must be careful in eating exotic food that is not easy on the stomach. The rule of thumb is basically this; if it smells bad, then maybe it should not be eaten. Wash thoroughly fruits and vegetables with bottled water. Also, make sure that everything is cooked through.
