In case you are looking for a nice bar in the Nanai road of Patong beach to hand out at then I would like to suggest the Celtic Bar Patong. It’s not really your typical Patong beer bar as its located in Nanai road which is mainly a residential area where many of the Patong expats live although there are also plenty of guesthouses and hotels which are situated along Nanai road. However I think that most of the tourists and traveler will prefer to go down to the Bangla road area rather than spending the evening at one of the Nanai road bars such as the Celtic Bar Patong.

I have had the pleasure of drinking a few pints at the Celtic Bar in Patong on many occasions and I have always had a splendid time at this great little bar on Nanai road. Most of the guys I met at the Celtic Bar Patong were expats living in Patong however I even met a few tourists who were staying in the area in which the Celtic Bar Patong is located.

There are a few nice Thai bar girls working at the wonderful Celtic Bar Patong but if that is the only thing you are looking for then perhaps you would be better off going down to the Bangla road area as you will have many more to choose from there. Personally I go to the Phuket Celtic Bar on Nanai Road because of the nice atmosphere, live sports and I also enjoy playing in the Patong Darts League and the Phuket Celtic Bar is one of the bars which partake in this great darts league. The Celtic Bar Patong is owned by a nice Scottish chap and his lady friend and they are brilliant hosts. They also prepare some food for their clients during special events. If you love English and Irish beers then you will certainly like the Celtic Bar in Patong as they have all of these on stock. If you feel a bit hungry then you can simply step outside and walk up or down the road as there are plenty of great and affordable restaurants along this particular part of the Nanai Road in Patong Beach.
