Capri Hotel Phuket
The Capri Hotel Phuket is a relatively small 3 star Surin beach hotel which offers 18 comfortable guest rooms to travelers and tourists. I was surprised to discover that the Capri Surin was in fact the first hotel to have been built along the beach of Surin as I have to admit that I had never heard about this hotel at Surin Beach until I discovered it only last month.
For those of you who are looking for an affordable hotel in Surin beach and one that is located within stone’s throw of the white sandy beach of Surin then the Capri Hotel Phuket is probably your best and only option which I am aware off. It should not come as a surprise when I tell you that the owner of the Capri Hotel Phuket is in fact an Italian considering the fact that Capri is an island just off the coast of Italy near the city of Naples. The exterior of the building in which the Capri Surin hotel is located actually does resemble somewhat of that of an Italian building. It is rather easy to spot the Capri Hotel Phuket once you get to Surin beach as this affordable Surin beach hotel is painted in various shades of pink and purple and there is a wonderful Italian restaurant located on the ground level with a terrace right in front of the building.
When I entered the Capri Hotel Phuket I was friendly greeting by the Thai front desk staff and I was also greeted by the Italian owner of the Capri Hotel Phuket who has lived on the island of Phuket for many years. The interior of the Capri Hotel Phuket reminded me right away about Italy and I wasn’t surprised to hear many Italian guests around me. I am not sure if this would be appreciated by every tourist or traveler as many would like to stay at a Phuket hotel or resort which has perhaps a bit more of a Thai atmosphere and environment. I must also say that the hotel seems to be a bit dated or old fashioned and this is not really my style but considering that the rooms are really inexpensive then perhaps this isn’t really all that important. Room rates for a budget room at the Phuket Capri Surin hotel start at only 700 Thai Baht per room per night and roughly double during the Phuket tourist high season.
I also had the opportunity to look at some of the rooms at the Capri Hotel Phuket in Surin beach and they were also a bit in need of a more contemporary look rather than the Italian look which these rooms had. However the rooms are rather spacious and are equipped with many comforts and amenities which include for example air-conditioning, safety box, wireless high speed internet connection and international television programming. There are 3 room types from which travelers and tourists can choose at the Capri Hotel Phuket and they are budget rooms, superior rooms and deluxe rooms. Please note that only the deluxe rooms offer a view on Surin Beach and the Andaman Sea.
As I mentioned before, there is a very nice Italian restaurant at the Capri Phuket Hotel in Surin beach which serves authentic Italian cuisine as well as delicious Thai dishes. Please note that prices are more than reasonable at this Capri Hotel Phuket restaurant and I suggest that people staying elsewhere should also plan a visit to this wonderful food and beverage venue.
