One of my personal favorite venues along the Patong beach road is Bo’s Beach Bar Patong. The name of this establishment is somewhat misleading as it certainly is not only a bar as wonderful food is also available at the Bo’s Beach Bar in Patong beach. However one of the main reasons why I frequently visit the Phuket Bo’s Beach Bar is because I have known the owner nearly a decade. Kees has owned and managed a variety of different Dutch bars on Phuket and he definitely is the ultimate host. He is a very prominent figure in the Dutch expat community of Phuket and chances are that you will encounter some Dutch expats if you do visit the Bo’s Beach Bar in Patong beach as its one of only a handful of Dutch restaurants in Patong beach.

If you are interested in visiting Bo’s Beach Bar Patong during your holiday on Phuket then it will be rather easy for you to find out. It is located along the street side of the Patong beach road and is located right in front of the Club Andaman Beach Resort which is one of the most famous hotels of Patong beach. This Patong Dutch bar is located on what best can be described as a promenade which used to house the Patong Rock City club and currently houses a number of different outstanding restaurants including an Italian restaurant and an Indian / Arabic restaurant. You shouldn’t have any problem find an available parking space for either your car or jeep nearby to the Phuket Bo’s Beach Bar in Patong beach. Please also note that there are plenty of motorcycle taxis as well as plenty of Tuk Tuk’s available very close to this Patong Dutch bar.

What you will often find with expats living on Phuket is that many nationalities will come together at a bar or restaurant which is owned by a fellow countrymen. The Dutch do the same which is why I pretty much know every Dutch bar or restaurant on the island of Phuket. Each one of these Dutch restaurants on Phuket is different from the next however I must say that Bo’s Beach Bar Patong is the one which offers the nicest ambience and is best decorated. Kees has spent a lot of time, effort and money on creating the Bo’s Beach Bar Patong from scratch and he has done an excellent job.

Bo’s Beach Bar in Patong is open daily from 10:00 until after midnight depending on the amount of customers which are there. A lot of people can actually be found at this Patong Dutch restaurant in the morning as Kees serves an amazing breakfast. Bo’s Beach Bar Patong is also the only Dutch venue which I know about which has new Dutch newspapers every morning.

The food and drinks are also excellent at Bo’s Beach Bar Phuket and Kees has Heineken, the most famous beer in the world, on tap. The menu includes both Western and Thai dishes and includes a number of Dutch specialties such as a “broodje bal”, “uitsmijter” and a “broodje shoarma”.
