Bangla Road
Bangla road runs from the Patong beach roach until the Rat U Thit road and is several hundred meters in length. Along Soi Bangla there are a number of smaller “streets” which lead into Bangla road and these include: Soi Easy, Soi Gonzo, Soi Crocodile (Soi Katoey), Soi Seadragon, Soi Lion, Soi Tiger, Happy Road, Soi Viking, Soi Patong Resort and Soi Laos Food. Along these smaller sois there are also plenty of Patong Restaurants, beer bars, go go bars, clubs, guesthouses, short time hotels and shops. Bangla Nightlife Venues
There are a number of very famous Phuket nightlife venues which are located directly along the Bangla Road in Patong. These popular Patong beach nightlife venues along Bangla road include: Rock Hard a gogo, Tiger Disco, Kangaroo Bar, Scruffy Murphy’s Irish Bar, Aussie Bar, U2 Bar, Full Monty Bar, Sharky Bar, Cock Pit Bar, Ned Kelly’s Pub, Gonzo Bar and the Shipwreck Bar.
Bangla Road Shopping
The main shopping venue along Bangla Road in Patong is the Ocean Department Store. This leading Bangla Road shopping venue includes a large supermarket in the basement selling many western food items. On the ground floor of the Bangla Ocean Department Store there are various different stores including a Booths, a number of gold shops and a great suki yaki restaurant. On the floors above you will find plenty of discounted brand name clothing as well as various entertainment options including a bowling alley and a video game arcade.
There are also plenty of smaller Bangla Road shopping venues which you can visit. There are dozens of tailor shops along Bangla Road as well as a number of gold and jewelry shops. You will also encounter especially during the evening plenty of small stands and shops that sell a wide range of items including fake brand name products, copy DVD and software products, souvenirs and handicrafts.
Bangla Road Restaurants
There are also a number of good Bangla road restaurants which you can visit. Please note however that prices tend to be a bit higher at Bangla Road restaurants then what you would find at Patong restaurants elsewhere. Some of the most famous restaurants along Soi Bangla include: Bangla Seafood Restaurant, The Monte Carlo Restaurant and The Beer Kutsche.
Bangla Road Hotels
There are not too many hotels which are located directly along or next to Bangla Road. The Patong hotels which are located in this area of the popular Phuket resort town are: Patong Resort and the Baan Sukothai hotel. ..
