One of the guesthouses in Patong beach which I know extremely well is the Baan Tip Top guesthouse which is owned and managed by Andre who is a fellow Dutchman. Although I have not personally stayed at the Baan Tiptop Patong guesthouse, I have often visited this Patong beach guesthouse as there is a small bar / restaurant located on the ground floor of the Baan Tip Top guesthouse and this is a popular meeting place for Dutch expats living on the island of Phuket. The Patong beach Baan Tip Top guesthouse is also one of the only hotels or guesthouses which I know on Phuket which has a clientele which is almost entirely made up of repeat customers. Sure the accommodation is nice at this Patong guesthouse however it is the friendly and cozy atmosphere which had lead to so many customers coming back year after year to the Baan Tip Top guesthouse in Patong beach. I would also like to point out that the vast majority of guests staying at the Baan Tip Top Patong guesthouse tend to be either Dutch or Belgian although there are guests from other countries staying at this charming Phuket guesthouse.

As I previously mentioned, Baan Tip Top guesthouse in Patong beach is owned by Andre and his charming Thai wife. Andre used to own a little bar / restaurant / shop just down the road of where his Patong beach guesthouse is currently located and even then his little place was a meeting spot for Dutch travelers and Dutch expats living in Patong. One of the reasons for this is because Andre is such a terrific host and he is really a very friendly and funny character. Another reason why Baan Tip Top is so popular is because he serves a variety of typical Dutch dishes such as a “broodje Kroket” or a “broodje Frikandel”. There are other Dutch places in Patong where you can buy these Dutch specialties however those Dutch venues in Patong tend to be more expensive and less busy then what you will encounter at Baan Tip Top guesthouse. I would love to recommend the restaurant / bar of Baan Tip Top guesthouse to all my readers but fact is that normally only Dutch is spoken so it would be hard for you to join in the fun at Baan Tip Top guesthouse in Phuket if you do not speak any Dutch. I would also like to point out that his prices for drinks such as all the various domestic and international beers is considerably cheaper then what you would pay at most of the other restaurants or bars in Patong beach. No wonder so many Dutch folks visit the place as the Dutch are known to be stingy and cheap charlies. (Just kidding!)

If you are looking for a guesthouse in Patong then of course you will of course also be more then interested in knowing about the actual accommodation of the Baan TipTop guesthouse. The guest rooms are very spacious but are somewhat basic. You will find a lovely bathroom in each room as well as international television programming, in room safe and a fridge however please note that the rooms do not have much decoration as can be found in some of the more trendy and hip guesthouses in Patong. However the rooms are very clean and well maintained and I have yet to hear any complaint about their accommodation at Baan Tip Top guesthouse in Patong beach from one of the tourists or travelers staying there. The clients that stay at this Patong guesthouse include plenty of couples as well as single travelers and a few famous Dutch people have even stayed at the Baan Tip Top guesthouse due to the excellent location of the guesthouse and the great atmosphere which is always present there. If you are a single guy staying at the Baan Tip Top guesthouse then you might be interested to know that there is no joiner fee in case you want to take a lady back to your room for the night! The price for a standard room at Baan Tip Top Guesthouse Patong beach during the tourist low season costs only 400 Thai Baht per room per night and during the Phuket tourist high season the price increases to 800 Thai Baht per room per night. There are also a few deluxe rooms available with balcony at the Baan Tip Top Guesthouse in Patong beach and these guest rooms cost an additional 100 Thai Baht per room per night.

The Phuket Baan Tip Top guesthouse is located right in the center of Patong along a small road which is called Soi Jintana. This road is lined with various guesthouses, a few hotels, restaurants and other local businesses. Bangla road and all of its famous nightlife venues is located only a few minutes on foot away and the Patong Paradise complex is situated only a minute away or so. Guests can also easily walk down to the beach and this should also take no more than 2 minutes.
