One of the nicest and most unusual Patong guesthouses is most definitely the Baan Khun Tawan which is located in the Nanai road area of Patong beach. There are obviously different types of guesthouses as some offer the cheapest possible holiday accommodation for budget travelers whilst other Phuket guesthouses fall into the boutique guesthouse segment. The Baan Khun Tawan falls into the latter category as it certainly is a wonderful boutique guesthouse as a lot of time, effort and money was spend on decorations, furnishings and art work which can be found in both the guest rooms as well as the public areas of the Baan Khun Tawan guesthouse. It was only recently that I visited this Patong beach guesthouse as a close friend of mine was staying at the Baan Khun Tawan during his vacation on Phuket. I am happy to have visited this Patong guesthouse as it certainly is one of a kind and I will definitely recommend it to other travelers and tourists in the future. Some of the guest rooms for example even have poster beds which is really unique in Phuket. I don’t know of any luxury hotel or resort let alone a guesthouse which has this type of beautiful and rather romantic looking beds in their guest rooms.

Baan Khun Tawan is one of the newer guesthouses of Patong beach and is located in a new and modern shop house building which actually consists of two shop houses. It is not only the rooms and the rest of the interior of the Baan Khun Tawan guesthouse which looks splendid as the actual building is also beautifully designed. During my recent visit of the Baan Khun Tawan I had a close look of all the various public areas of this Patong beach guesthouse as well as several of the charming guest rooms and everything looked in perfect shape and order. I could find nothing where guests could possibly complain about if they were to stay at the Phuket Baan Khun Tawan guesthouse.

The ground floor of the Baan Khun Tawan guesthouse in Patong is home to an excellent restaurant, lounge area, internet corner, a small bar and of course the reception desk. There is even a corner where you can play video games on the play station 2 of this Patong boutique guesthouse. There is also a lovely terrace in front of the building and is a great place to chill and enjoy a bite to eat or have an ice cold Chang beer for example. A lot of local Patong farang residents living in the area seem to have taken a liking to the terrace and restaurant of the Baan Khun Tawan guesthouse. If you would like to make some new friends in Patong then I would definitely recommend for you to visit the terrace and bar of the Baan Khun Tawan during the day or evening.

The rooms of the Patong Baan Khun Tawan guesthouse can easily be described as being among the nicest found at any guesthouse on Phuket. However designed and decorated the rooms certainly has an excellent taste and a great eye for detail. What has amazed me even more about the Baan Khun Tawan guesthouse in Patong is its room rates. You would expect that a guesthouse of this caliber and with such nice accommodation would not be cheap however the room rates which the Baan Khun Tawan charges are among the cheapest I have found at any Patong beach guesthouse. Room rates during the low season start at only 500 Thai Baht per room per night and during the tourist high season room rates start at only 700 Thai Baht per room per night. Please note that there are three room categories from which travelers and tourists can select and they include budget rooms, standard rooms and deluxe rooms.

The Phuket Baan Khun Tawan guesthouse is located along Nanai Road which is about 1500 meters from the beach of Patong. Some travelers prefer to be closer to the beach however the Nanai road area is very lively and happening as there are many shops, stores, restaurants, hotels and other businesses along the Nanai road. The Baan Khun Tawan guesthouse is easily one of the best Patong budget hotels in its category and this is my top choice for affordable holiday accommodation in Patong beach.
