One of the areas of Patong beach which I often mention as having a high concentration of Patong beach guesthouses is the Nanai road area however there are also a large number of Patong beach guesthouses such as the Andaman Sea Guesthouse which are concentrated in the Rat U Thit area of Patong beach. There are many small roads which lead into the second main road of Patong and there are many cheap accommodation venues which are situated in these small roads and the Andaman Sea Guesthouse in Patong is one of them. Although I personally really like the Nanai road area of Patong, travelers and tourists staying at one of the hotels or guesthouses in this part of Phuket do have a relatively long walk ahead of them if they want to go down to the beach of Patong or Soi Bangla for example which is why I have received several requests for reviews on nice Patong guesthouses which are more centrally located. So recently I drove up and down the Rat U This area of Patong beach and went looking for affordable holiday accommodation and Patong beach guesthouses .This is when I discovered the Andaman Sea Guesthouse in Patong Beach.

I would like to mention early on in this Andaman Sea Guesthouse review that if you are looking for some hip and trendy or boutique style guesthouse in Patong beach then the Andaman Sea Guesthouse is definitely not a suitable option for you. The Andaman Sea Guesthouse in Patong beach is a typical old fashioned guesthouse which offers basic yet clean and comfortable holiday accommodation for budget travelers. I noticed this the moment I entered the Patong Andaman Sea Guesthouse. The entrance and the interior of this Patong beach guesthouse is designed in rather somber Thai colors with light colored wood furniture. The same applies to all the public areas of the Andaman Sea Guesthouse including for example the bar and restaurant area of this Patong beach guesthouse.

Although I am not really a big fan of these old style Patong guesthouses, I would like to point out that the Andaman Sea Guesthouse offers very affordable holiday accommodation right in the center of Patong beach. The ever so happening Soi Bangla is located only about a 5 minute walk away as is the beach of Patong and the Jungceylon shopping mall. For those of you who have been to Patong beach before, the Andaman Sea Guesthouse is situated right across the street from the infamous Patong Christin Massage. All the major areas of Patong can easily be reached on foot however if you do hire a scooter or jeep then please note that there is ample parking available in the immediate vicinity of the Andaman Sea Guest House in Patong beach. I would also like to point out that the Rat U Thit road is one the main roads of this popular Phuket resort town and there are many restaurants, shops, bars, internet shops and massage parlors which line the street.

During my visit of the Andaman Sea Guesthouse in Patong beach I had asked one of the very friendly front desk staff if I could view some of the rooms and she was more than happy to oblige. There are 3 different types of rooms from which tourists and travelers can choose and they are standard rooms, a 1 bedroom penthouse suite and a 2 bedroom master penthouse suite. All the rooms and suites are decorated in a similar style as to what I encountered in the public areas of this Patong beach guesthouse. As mentioned before, I prefer boutique style guesthouses and the Andaman Sea Guest House can certainly not be placed into that category however all the rooms and suites were spotless and I am certain that all the guests will have a very pleasant and comfortable stay at the Andaman Sea Patong Guesthouse. Some of the amenities and facilities which can be found in either the regular rooms or suites include for example full bathroom facilities, air-conditioning, in room safe, international television programming, free wireless internet access, DVD player and a balcony.

One of the things which I did really like about the Andaman Sea Guesthouse was its restaurant and bar. Although I did not necessarily like the way it was decorated, the menu and quality of service was outstanding. I did notice that a lot of the folks dining at the restaurant of this Patong beach guesthouse were outside visitors and this is always a very positive sign. They serve a variety of different excellent breakfasts and the regular menu consists of delicious Farang and Thai style dishes at very inexpensive prices. I would definitely recommend anyone staying in the area to pop into the Andaman Sea Guesthouse for a bite to eat or even just a cold beer.
