Andaman Hill Hotel
I actually now the Andaman Hill Hotel rather well as I used to live and work just down the road from this affordable Patong hotel however it must be close to 6 or 8 years when I last visited the Andaman Hill Hotel when it was still under Italian ownership and management. Since the new Russian owners have taken over the Andaman Hill Hotel the hotel seems to have come alive again and is has actually become one of the more popular Patong budget hotels in the Nanai Road area of Patong beach. As it had been some time since I last visited the Andaman Hill Hotel in Patong beach I decided to head down there for a site inspection so that I could add an Andaman Hill Hotel review to our handy online Phuket travel guide.
The Andaman Hill Hotel in Patong Beach is a relatively small 3 star Patong hotel which offers 22 nicely decorated and well appointed guest rooms and spacious family rooms to travelers and tourists. Room rates at this Patong budget hotel start at just over 1000 Thai Baht per room per night which is a pretty good deal for a nice Patong hotel such as the Andaman Hill Hotel which is situated on the foothills overlooking the village of Patong and the beautiful Andaman Sea. I would like to point out however that even though the Andaman Hill Hotel in Patong Beach is a small hotel, they do offer a nice selection of facilities and services to its guests which are something which you won’t find at many of the small 3 star hotels in Patong beach.
If you have ever driven down Nanai Road in Patong then I am fairly certain that you will have noticed the rather splendidly looking Patong Beach Andaman Hill Hotel as you simply can’t miss it. This 3 star Patong hotel is located in a 4 story building which has been painted in what best can be described as an orange color. The design of the exterior of the Phuket Andaman Hill Hotel in Patong beach is very appeasing to the eye as it’s designed in a Thai baroque style.
I would recommend the Andaman Hill Hotel in Patong beach to any traveler or tourist who is looking for a nice 3 star Patong hotel which offers outstanding service, nice accommodation and facilities as well as attractive room rates. Please note that the Patong Andaman Hill hotel also has family rooms so this Patong hotel could also be a great option for families traveling on a tight budget.
The Andaman Hill Hotel is located along Nanai road which is the 3rd road of Patong after the beach road and Rat U Thit road. It is actually located against the hillside which overlooks the bay of Patong and is located about a 10 – 15 minute walk away from the beach. Nanai Road is lined with many affordable Patong hotels, guesthouses, small restaurants & bars and other local businesses. I personally really like the Nanai road area of Patong as prices tend to be cheaper at restaurants and other business when compared to restaurants and business which are along the Patong beach road and Bangla Road.
As I have mentioned earlier, there are 22 rooms at the Andaman Hill hotel including several large family rooms / triple rooms. During my recent visit I was given the opportunity to check out some of the vacant rooms and they were definitively very clean and comfortable. I am not a big fan of the interior design which was used in all of the rooms at the Andaman Hill Hotel in Patong beach however that is merely my personal taste. The rooms do all have modern amenities and facilities including wireless internet connection, international television programming and private balcony or terrace as well as of course air-conditioning.
What I really like about the Andaman Hill Hotel is the fact that although this Patong budget hotel is rather small it does offer some very nice facilities to its guests. The outdoor freeform swimming pool with waterfall is easily one of the nicest hotel swimming pools in Phuket and there is also a nice sauna which guests can use at the Andaman Hill Hotel.
The Andaman Hill Hotel also has a rather nice restaurant which is called the Caruso Restaurant and Bar and is located right next to the swimming pool. If you want to eat Russian food in Patong then you should definitely visit the Caruso Restaurant at the Andaman Hill hotel. The menu also includes Thai specialties as well as various other European specialties.
