Paradise Beach
What is so good about the Paradise Beach
The Paradise Beach can be reached if one drives further down from the Tri Trang Beach (Merlin Beach Resort). The road is not a very well developed one but the destination is extremely beautiful.
It is not a popular place for swimming in spite of the water being so clear and the reason can probably be the beach being a little rocky. It is very good for snorkeling though. The beach is quite small and the sand there is white in color and very very soft. The length of the beach would probably be 100 meters, but still it does not feel congested or in need of more space.
The whole beach is full of sun beds which can never fall short of in comparison to the number of guests present there and they can be rented for 60 baht there.
There is one restaurant present on the Paradise Beach which is supposed to serve both Thai as well as European food. The interiors of the restaurant are quite unique and so is the taste of the food. It is worth trying at least once.
As far as snorkeling is concerned, a major part of the reef was destroyed during tsunami, which has started growing on the concrete blocks that have been placed there. It can be done for something like 20 baht per hour.
No encouragement is given to jet skies and even if some jet ski is seen coming from another part, the staff here waves a red flag to let them know that they will not be allowed to come further.
Some of the areas close to the Paradise Beach are popular for nude sun bathing, but not this beach. People normally go there for sun bathing and enjoying some quite time under the sun without much external disturbances and distractions..
